Well known for some of the best family entertainers like Jayam Kondan, director Kannan is back with yet another film of this genre titled Oru Oorla Rendu Raja that stars Vimal, Soori, Priya Anand and Vishaka Singh in lead roles. D Imman has composed music for this album with five songs with lyrics penned by Yugabharathi and Eknaath.
Oru Oorula Rendu Raja
Vocals: Jayamoorthy & M.K. Balaji
As you listen to this song, it is pretty clear that this is a title number, an intro of two happy-go-lucky buddies and they are on the jubilation of winning streak. Jayamoorthy and M.K. Balaji offer the best voices suiting the actors on the screens. The dance performance by them would be an additional highlight enhancing the musical spell of Imman.
Vocals: Haricharan, Vandana Srinivasan & Maria Roe Vincent
The singers deserve special mention in this song. They have already crooned some of the best tracks and over here, comes up with complete justice to the song. Haricharan and Vandana Srinivasan make the song complete and the rendition by Maria Roe Vincent.
Vocals: Lakshmi Menon & Sathyan
Previously with Pandiya Nadu, D Imman had made Remya Nambeesan to render a song and this time Lakshmi Menon gets her chance. She wows you with a bold and sassy voice and undoubtedly she is going to the rule the charts with more songs in future.
Vocals: Abhay Jodhpurkar
The song is a soft melody solo rendered by Abhay Jodhpurkar and it’s about a man in love singing this soulful song for his girl in love. Abhay is the showstopper here and makes an impressive spell by touching the scales with right approach. Yugabharathi much alike other song in the album pens simple lyrics and the clarity of voice intensifies the significance of words.
Vocals: Shreya Ghoshal
It’s a folk song composed with the plethora of instrumentals by D Imman and we witness it completely during the interludes. The song is an expression of delight by a girl on her pal who has seen her darling. Shreya Ghoshal has incisively made an exact approach that is necessary for the song.
On the whole, Oru Ooril Rendu Raja is a nice treat for music lovers. It is not going to be a topping chartbuster, but will surely engage the ones listening to the songs. Kudoses to D Imman and his entire team for making a brilliant effort on rendering these numbers, especially the one crooned by Lakshmi Menon.
Verdict: Appreciable album by D Imman.
