Maari had instantly become the hot topic ever since the first look teaser was unveiled before couple of weeks. Moreover, with the hit combination of Dhanush and Anirudh straight from the success of VIP, it has made everything more enthralling. Almost all the songs in this album are completely based on mass heroisms and Kuthu numbers with just couple of songs differing in genre.
Maari Thara Local (Here comes Maari)
The opening song has its own best beats that will definitely send the fans of Dhanush in complete excitement. Moreover, with the lyrical lines signifying that it could be an intro song of Dhanush, this might turn to be a huge party moment in theatres with the visuals.
Oru Vidha Aasai
Singer: Anirudh and Vineeth Srinivasan
Anirudh seems to have tried something different in retro style with Jazzy methods. Although, there are lots of instrumentals involved, there seems to be certain loss in momentum, which might be intensified with good visuals and choreography.
Singers: Anirudh and Alisha Thomas
The song is sure to become one of the year’s best tunes. You will definitely fall in love with this song for the first time you hear it and there is no doubt about it. The song has some catchy lines and especially the intonating style of Alisha Thomas stands out to be one of the intriguing elements here and Anirudh as usual gives a best impression.
Odayum Dagulu Maari (The Return of Maari)
Singers: Dhanush and Anirudh
Shorter in duration, the song has an English title ‘The Return of Maari’. It’s a typical Gaana number that gains some impactful factors. When watched on the screens it would have more and best results.
The Maari Swag
The theme music has been catching up with huge fever across all the ends of the town and Anirudh proves that 30 seconds is more than enough to enliven the spirits.
Thappa Dhaan Theriyum
Singer: Anirudh, Dhanush, Chinna Ponnu and Maghizhini Manimaaran
The album ends with a Kuthu number, which again is completely made in favour of Dhanush fans. The lines are too normal, but the percussions and the visual significance would have definitely have vivid results for the track.
Maari as mentioned in various sources is a full-fledged mass commercial album that is sure to make the ‘B’ and ‘C’ go crazy over it. When compared to Velai Illa Pattadhaari, Anirudh-Dhanush hasn’t exceeded their level of previous magnum opuses, but this would somehow get well with the duo’s fans.
