Last week, we presented an intriguing note of some features involving unexpected surprises in 2017 that involved a real big series of astonishments. Well, we take a much similar note for this new feature from Top 10 Cinema that focalizes upon the unheralded arrivals of villains in Tamil cinema 2017. Let’s have a glimpse upon such personalities and there are few more in the tentative list too.

Akshay Kumar in 2.0

It was something beyond surprise to see that Shankar had unveiled the first look and motion poster giving more prominence to Akshay Kumar, who plays Scientist Richard. He would be seen as someone that we often see in Hollywood superheroes, where a normal innocent man becomes victimized to a chemical substance, gradually turning into evil antagonist. We have already witnessed his gory looks that have scared us to the core.

SJ Surya in Spyder and Vijay 61

This was completed unexpected! The maverick star of excellent performances just took his nuance spells as protagonist. But it w as an overnight astonishment to see him turn a baddie, especially opposite a big icon like Vijay in Vijay 61. On the other track, he plays the baddie opposite Mahesh Babu in high-tech spy thriller in bilingual film Spyder, directed by AR Murugadoss.

Fahadh Faasil in Velaikkaran

This genius actor from God’s own country would leave us invigorated migrating from protagonist to antagonistic shades from film to film. Not to miss his so loved character in Maheshinte Prathikaram that won National awards and his spellbinding extended cameo in ‘Take Off’. While many actors prefer taking a soft romantic hero as their debut in Kollywood, it’s a surprise to hear sources say he plays an antagonist opposite Sivakarthikeyan in Mohan Raja’s Velaikkaran.

Kajol in Velai Illa Pattadhaari 2

The second installment from the super hit franchise of Dhanush had a blatant call of surprise with Bollywood actress Kajol getting onboard. Of course, she already made her debut before 20 years in Tamil cinema through Rajeev Menon’s Minsara Kanavu, but her comeback is seemingly a much powerful one with dark role in VIP 2.

Vivek Oberoi in Vivegam

Nothing can become bigger than this as the most stylish and romantic actor of Bollywood will step into Kollywood locking horns with Ajith Kumar. This spy thriller will have the macho hunks Ajith and Vivek Oberoi dashing up with their screen presence and one cannot wait to see them on the screens.

Apart from these actors, there are few more prominent actors on talks to get into the shoes of antagonist that includes Prithviraj for Vikram’s Dhruva Natchathiram directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, but nothing is confirmed for now.
