A huge treat is awaited this Friday as the most anticipated Vikram Vedha is hitting screens as couple of promising actors – Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi are the biggest sources of attraction. While Vijay Sethupathi happens to be one among the prominent actors of Tamil cinema to take up any roles that justify his satisfaction irrespective of its duration on the screens, Madhavan too has been a pioneer in making several such showpieces. We bring a short list of great actors with whom he has shared screen space over the times.

1. Kamal Haasan (Anbe Sivam and Manmadhan Ambu)

An unexpected combination of the legend actor and Madhavan getting into these movies. Of course, the roles they played were completely contrast to each other in comparison between two movies, but they were beyond the word called ‘Awesome’, where they tickled our funny bones and made us emotionally inclined as well.

2. Aamir Khan (Rang De Basanti and 3 Idiots)

Something more off masterpieces that one could say and Maddy bagged an immensely adorable roles, where he strongly reflected the mindsets and characterizations of billion Indians. Be a sincere and honest IAF pilot or a pragmatic engineer student succumbed to the fate of his parent’s planning, he just swept us off the feet emotionally.

3. Abhishek Bachchan (Guru)

Who could have imagined such a scintillating role from Madhavan? He appears merely by the point of intermission and the scene where he confronts ‘Guru Bhai’ with a cunning smile and damning attitude. The role he played as an deadly ambitious journalist and an emotional lover was a beautiful depiction.

4. Suriya (Aayutha Ezhuthu)

These actors were craving wildly for a challenging role and Maniratnam made it happen. Aayutha Ezhuthu just offered the best combination sequences between Suriya and Madhavan. Well, let us not forget the Pepsi commercials they did to steal the heart of women, including Preity Zinta out there.

5. Shaam (Lesaa Lesaa)

A minimal role, but the theatres erupted with thundering applause and whistles when he appears on the screens. The final episode involving Maddy and Trisha turns to be one among the best emotional scenes in Tamil cinema till the date.

6. Siddarth (Aayutha Ezhuthu and Rang De Basanti)

Yet another references of the above mentioned m0vies. But look out for the combination sequences of Siddarth and Madhavan, where they keep influencing each other throughout the show in both the movies. Especially in the film ‘Rang De Basanti’, it was something beyond the usual paradigms.

7. Arya (Vettai)

Well, these actors could have appeared in a much surpassing role than what they had gained in this movie? But then their screen presence together was decorous, though the film didn’t click well.

8. Raghava Lawrence (Paarthaale Paravasam)

It was almost like a debut film for Raghava Lawrence, but had some challenging scenes with Madhavan, where they together spelt it more engagingly.

9. John Abraham (Jhootha Hi Sahi)

Maddy didn’t have much to score with a strong protagonist role, but then many would have taken a back seat in accepting this character that too opposite John Abraham. But Madhavan didn’t give a second thought making it happen.

10. Saif Ali Khan (Rehana Hai Tere Dil Mein)

The Hindi remake of Minnale, where the original version had the best chocolate boys in town – Madhavan and Abbas. In Bollywood remake, it had yet another hot and happening actor – Saif Ali Khan opposite Madhavan. Of course, they made a decorous screen presence.
