These days, it has become a commonality among the contemporary music directors, where they maintain a great cordiality and self-aggrandizing works on social media pages. But Yuvan Shankar Raja has been a man of few words or most of the times with silence. Even when a single song becomes a hit and other tracks remains a mediocre; it is depicted as a success. But then, Yuvan Shankar Raja has been someone, who created a renaissance back in Tamil music industry through background score. In fact, he once again familiarized the BGM mania after his father Isaignani Ilayaraja. In fact, many started to have his BGMs as caller tunes. His comeback with a bang has recreated magic through BGMs.

Taramani – The recent release ‘Taramani’ was a highly adorable work that just had Yuvan Shankar Raja banging with emotions and ultra-voguish style. The songs are eternal and BGM was the soul of this film, which enhanced the narration without letting it go subtle.

Nenjam Marappathillai – Almost all the songs of Nenjam Marappathillai sounds like a BGM except ‘En Pondaatti Oorukku Poita’. But then, the entire industry is in awe of Yuvan Shankar Raja’s BGM and Selvaraghavan cannot stop praising about his works. In fact, this is regarded to be one of the highlighting facts about the film as cited by the team before the release.

Chennai 600028 Second Innings – Watch out for every single BGM in this film. Be it peppy, melodiously emotional or the introduction sequence of Vaibhav, Yuvan has just made it stunningly best.

Sathriyan – In this Vikram Prabhu-Manjima Mohan starrer movie, the songs were good and balanced with the screenplay. But the background score, especially by the opening titles was awesome. In fact, if someone who never knew anything about this film, they would definitely Google at the same place on who the music director is.

AAA - No doubt! The film was a box office disaster, but just watch out for the BGM of Yuvan Shankar Raja. In fact, the title song with the percussions and guitars (Madurai Michael Theme) is a big blast on YouTube. In fact, this film from STR has to be remembered, only Yuvan’s BGM would be taken into account, especially Madurai Michael Theme.
