Vikram Vedha

Madhavan-Vijay Sethupathi starrer film was completely out of the box thinking. The film had a complex story of revolving around two different characters. While Madhavan thinks that he has already cracked the case and bumped off everyone except the main gangster (Vijay Sethupathi), the latter arrives into picture confusing and enlightening the cop.

Kuttram 23

A new of its kind medical crime thriller, which came up with a different and unique treatment… Few pregnant ladies get mysteriously murdered in the city and a police officer sets out to unravel the mystery. But it gets more complex, when his very own sister-in-law, a pregnant is brutally murdered.

Dhuruvangal 16

A retired police officer leading a peaceful life in Ooty as a mystery packed about his last assignment that changed his life forever. An aspiring cop arrives at his place and they start up their conversations with the mystery get unveiled by the end with an unbelievable truth.

Aarathu Sinam

The film didn’t work out at best in box office merely for a reason. It didn’t have a mature actor to play the role of a cop, who is back to duty to solve a murder case. The entire murder revolves around the mystery, where the clues are obtained through bible verses. The original version in Malayalam titled ‘Memories’ starred Prithviraj and was directed by Jeethu Joseph, which was a blockbuster.


With an array of short filmmakers that was consistently arriving into K-town, filmmaker Ramesh emerged as clear winner with Thegidi. The film had a brilliant plot of an amateur detective coming across murders, which are linked by a life insurance concept. Things get worsened, when his girlfriend happens to be next victim.
