Vaibhav’s love failure that brings sympathy and humour

There are times, when certain love stories with some bitter moments would bring a blatant sympathy upon the screen character. But it’s quite a rarity, where it adds up some hilarious quotients too. Such happened to be a mere situation with Dulquer Salmaan’s Rudra character in ‘Solo’. But when taking a step far behind years, say around 9 years back, we happened to witness a similar situation, which was so intense.

Over here, we don’t see a ‘Idhayam’ Murali version of hero longing for the girl to know about his love, but everything gets depicted in fraction of moments. The instance happens in Venkat Prabhu’s Saroja, where a short, sweet, tragic and yet funny love story is revealed in just a span of 5 minutes. It all takes place before the story hits basic premise of one-night thriller zone.

Vaibhav actually gets to meet Kajal Aggarwal to propose his love, but just in few seconds is taken back by his decision after he see his close friend Mirchi Shiva is already in relationship with her. The background score by Yuvan Shankar Raja soaks us in emotional moments, but the very next second, we get to see Premgi cracking up a humour on the context of ‘Love is Blind’. But then, none among these characters are shown in ridiculous shades, but with beautiful reality yet some fun provoked.
