Late filmmaker Manivannan happens to be one among rarest directors, who has delivered outstanding movies in Tamil cinema. Apparently, Sathyaraj happens to be the immediate name that comes to our mind while uttering the word Sathyaraj. Such has been their greatest works together that has amused fans and audiences for many years and it still continues to make the swing of fascination. Among 50 films that Manivannan has directed, around 16 movies have featured Sathyaraj in lead role.

Specifically, the film ‘Jallikattu’ released in 1987, the duo made an appealing surprise with the makeovers. The film is actually about the protagonist seeking revenge on villains. The commonality of such instances would go with the heroes appearing in different looks in disguised forms. It was all the same here as well in Jallikattu, where the duo tried something different. The introduction sequence itself had Sathyaraj appearing in the villainous look ‘Nooravadhu Naal’ with tonsured head.

The other 4 get ups during the second half is nothing but the ones that Sathyaraj had already appeared in his erstwhile hit movies. This includes Half-Boil Aarumugam (Vidinja Kalyanam), Kunguma Pottu Goundar (Mudhal Vasantham), Muttam Chinnapadas (Kadolora Kavidhaigal) and Rajarathinam (24 Mani Neram). Sathyaraj appeared in the same makeovers with the same name rocking the screens. The fans were really stunned with Sathyaraj appearing in same characterizations of the blockbuster movies.
