It is a case of rarity, where such things don’t happen at an ease. This week on Friday Fury, we bring Chithiram Pesuthadi. The film starring Narain and Bhavana in lead roles marked the directorial debut of Mysskin.
The movie was released (10 February 2006) with just 8-10 audiences for the first show in one of the leading theatres of Chennai. With the film turning out to be empty houses, it was moved out of the theatres. But sooner, Sun Network started continuously airing the song ‘Vaala Meenukkum Vilangu Meenukkum’ and it eventually made the film became familiar. Immediately, Aascar Ravichandran re-released (3 March 2006) the movie in many parts of Tamil Nadu and it became a huge hit. This is still regarded as a wonderful moment in Tamil cinema.
