We have been often acclaiming the friendship that exists between the actors of current generation, where the wishes and congratulations are extended over the Twitter and Facebook pages. But here is something that will get beyond such paradigms and show what a true friendship means. This dates back to 50 years in time and it was during the release of Late Veteran actor Sivaji Ganesan’s ‘Puthiya Paravai’.

The film was gearing up to hit screens and Sivaji Ganesan wanted to release the movie in ‘Shanthi Theatre’, which happens to be owned by him. During that time, the theatre was screening Hindi film ‘Sangam’ and the film’s lead actor Raj Kapoor requested Sivaji Ganesan to let the movie continue its shows. Without taking any pause or negligence, Sivaji Ganesan immediately decided to continue with the screening of Sangam and got his ‘Puthiya Paravai’ released in other theatre named ‘Paragon’ in Wallajah Road. Such a friendship that was established by our previous generation of actors could be regarded as the foundation of congenial relationship between our current phase of actors here.
