Right from the ancient times, Tamil cinema has always been the favourite of global audiences. Especially, with such a talented actor like Late Sivaji Ganesan, it was so much of pride to Indian cinema, where even the Hollywood’s most celebrated superstars like Marlon Brando appreciated him. In fact, Sivaji Ganesan’s Deiva Magan happens to be the first ever Tamil movie to be submitted by India to the Oscar awards for the Best Foreign Film Category.
The film features Sivaji Ganesan in triple roles. A father with disfigured face, who has newborn twins and is shocked to see one among them, has his lookalike with scared face. Henceforth, he leaves him into the custody of his close confidential person and makes his wife believe that the first child was born dead. Years later, the elder son gets to know about his family and tries to reunite.
The film was directed by A.C. Tirulok Chandar and is produced by Periyanna.
