Madhavan’s fame in Tamil film industry took its escalation right with the debut movie ‘Alaipayuthey’. This happened to be something like a cool-urban love story, which was about a handsome guy and beautiful girl falling love with beautiful visuals and music in the backdrops. But what actually set forth as a conflict was that it turns to be complicated after marriage between the lead actors. It dealt with after marriage crisis between a couple.

His next movie ‘Ennavale’ was again a complicated one, where he falls in love with a divorcee (played by Sneha). His third outing titled ‘Minnale’ was falling in love with a girl, who is to be married to someone and he plays an imposter. In ‘Dum Dum Dum’, it’s completely a different scenario, where both the families try to get Maddy and Jyotika married, but in turn they hatch up plans to ruin their dreams. Finally, when they decide to get married, the families rift apart with some irreversible conflicts. In Paarthale Paravasam, it’s more complicated, where Madhavan divorces his wife (Simran) and the story proceeds with complex narration, where it involves lots of twists and turns.

Of course, love stories without conflicts is something unimaginable. But during the times, when the lead pairs face problems from villain or families, Madhavan’s first five films based on love stories actually had the issues within the lead characters themselves.
