Achieving with the 40 million views in a single audio track composed by Kerala origin music director, Gopi Sundar, the romantic comedy movie ‘Geetha Govindam’ starring Vijay Devarkonda and Rashmika Mandanna, has been expected not only in Tollywood borders but also all over the world. Will ‘Arjun Reddy’ star win more hearts through this movie?

With the absolute keen efforts of showing the narration by a helpless young man to a stranger by sitting in the road, Director Parusuram has given a surprise in featuring the stranger as a main cameo role. Beginning with how a bachelor lives apart from his native place and dreams about his future wife by watching ‘Bharateeyudu’ (Indian) movie every night and when he falls in love with the girl whom he likes at first sight, Govind (Vijay Devarkonda) starts imagining her to reprise his mom’s position.

Fortunately, many opportunities rise to impress Geetha (Rashmika Mandanna) and fall in love such that there comes a rife because of Govind accidently does a mistake with Geetha. By misunderstanding and thinking Govind to have a characterless attitude, Geetha informs about what has happened with Govind during a bus travel. Somehow tackling to get off from the situation, Govind comes for his sister’s wedding where he gets to know that Geetha is a sister of his brother-in-law.

Geetha doesn’t reveal in the beginning whereas she get situations to roam along with him for the wedding. Govind being scared of her if she tells the truth to her brother before the marriage along with the love on Geetha, tries to be very good and decent to her whereas Geetha somehow smells Govind to be a bad person even if he is good and genuine.

Will Geetha reveal the truth to her brother about Govind that he is the one who has misbehaved with her? Will Govind’s sister gets her wedding to be cancelled because of what Govind did? Will Geetha’s brother kill Govind if he comes to know the truth? Will Govind make Geetha understand about his love and breaks all hurdles for his sister’s marriage? If Geetha understands Govind at some point, Will Govind love her back in spite of all the tortures she did thinking him to be a bad person?

All the answers will be opened up in the end of ‘Geetha Govindam’.

Although it has many voluntary ‘A’ rated jokes and scenes, Parusuram has ensured this movie to entertain till the end without spacing out with lags. Colourful locations, performance of the entire cast especially the reactions of Rashmika, music and background score, costumes, production designing, perfect cast, more of romance and emotions, the movie has a strong touch of a matured young man’s practical mentality of missing his mom from childhood and his craving for the love which he thinks to be reprised from his wife after marriage. Appreciation for the director for portraying the story along with humour inserts in between even in serious sequences. Only disappointment is that Sid Siram’s vocal was not sounded fully in the video than expected whereas Parusuram has covered them up by inserting Sid’s voice in the apt portions.

On the whole, ‘Geetha Govindam’ is a complete entertaining pack of romance, drama and humour which will for sure entertain all age groups and relate to everyone in practical love and life.
