How many movies to relish this weekend?

‘Imaikka Nodigal’, ’60 Vayadu Maaniram’, ‘Aaruthra’ and ‘Annanukku Jey’ have been lined up to release on screens this week.

Continued with the last week releases of ‘Lakshmi’, ‘Merku Thodarchi Malai’, ‘Echcharikkai Idhu Manidhargal Nadamaadum Idam’ and ‘Kalari’, this week has releases of 4 movies like ‘Imaikka Nodigal’, ’60 Vayadu Maaniram’, ‘Aaruthra’ and ‘Annanukku Jey’.

1) ‘Imaikka Nodigal’ – ‘De Monte Colony’ fame director Ajay Gnanamuthu’s upcoming crime thriller ‘Imaikka Nodigal’ involves the cast like Atharvaa, Nayanthara, Raashi Khanna and Anurag Kashyap in lead roles. Having Vijay Sethupathi for a cameo role, Anurag Kashyap plays the character of ‘Serial Killer’ with the voice of Director Magizh Thirumeni. With the bankrolling of ‘Cameo Films’, this movie has the musical composition of ‘Hiphop Tamizha’ Adhi. Cinematography handled by R D Rajasekhar, Nayanthara is expected to once again stun her fans in the bold role of a CBI officer in ‘Imaikka Nodigal’ after the successful hit of ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’.

2) ’60 Vayadu Maaniram’ – Much before the release of Jyothika’s ‘Kaatrin Mozhi’, Radha Mohan has directed ’60 Vayadu Maaniram’ with the cast involving Vikram Prabhu, Prakash raj, Samuthirakani and Induja in pivotal roles. Having the core of the Kannada movie, ‘GODHI BANNA SADHARANA MAYKATTU’, ’60 Vayadu Maaniram’ is remade with the bankrolling of Kalaipuli S Thanu’s ‘V Creations’. Music for this movie is composed by Ilayaraja. Generally giving quality family-oriented movies from his direction, Radha Mohan is stated to incorporate the story with the searching of an Alzheimer affected father by a son and the emotional bond between them.

3) ‘Aaruthra’ – Next to ‘Strawberry’, Pa. Vijay’s directorial movie, ‘Aaruthra’ is stated to have the society related message such that the movie will have the sequences of problems faced by female child and the responsibilities of the parents to take care in this cruel society. Bankrolled by Pa.Vijay’s ‘Will Makers’, the cast involves Pa. Vijay, S A Chandrasekhar, Bhagyaraj, Y G Mahendran, Mayilsamy, Writer Gnanasambandham, Sanjana Singh, Dhakshitha Kumar, Meghali, Yuva and Soni Christa in important roles. Music composed by Vidyasagar, this movie is stated to have ‘U/A’ certificate from censor board.

4) ‘Annanukku Jey’ – Bankrolled by Vetrimaaran’s ‘Grassroot film company’, Director Rajkumar who has previously assisted Director Vetrimaaran, has directed ‘Annanukku Jey’ with the cast involving ‘Attakathi’ Dinesh, Mahima Nambiar, RJ Balaji, Radharavi, Mayilswamy, Senthil Kumar and Anjali Rao in important roles. Having the storyline revolving a youngster who wanted to become something big in politics, ‘Annanukku Jey’ has the background score composed by Arrol Corelli. Cinematography is handled by Vishnu Ramaswamy. Next to ‘Ulkuthu’, this movie with Dinesh’s performance is expected much among the audience.

All the movie releases mentioned above are ready to hit the screens on August 31st except ‘Imaikka Nodigal’ which is releasing as a solo movie on August 30th.
