‘Saamy – 2’, ‘Raja Ranguski’ and ‘Eghantham’ will be lining up for releasing on screens this week.

Continued with the bunch of movie releases last week, this week seems to have a less number of releases than on usual Friday releases.

With the listing of movie releases every week, this week has three movies to be trending for the release. Having 2 cop movies and a drama to line up as releases, the movies can be enlisted as follows –

1) ‘Saamy – 2’ – After the successful hit of ‘Saamy’ in 2003, the team had reunited for the second part after much discussions and ground work. Next to ‘Singam III’, Hari’s directorial ‘Saamy 2 / Sammy Square’ involves actors like Vikram, Aishwarya Rajesh, Keerthy Suresh, Bobby Simha, John Vijay and Soori in important roles. Having the story of a cop as the core, the movie is stated to have Vikram in dual roles. Produced under the banner of Shibu Thameens’s ‘Thameens Films’, the music for this action movie is composed by Hari’s buddy music composer Devi Sri Prasad. Cinematography is handled by Priyan and Venkatesh Anguraj whereas editing is done by V. T. Vijayan and T. S. Jay. Stunts choreographed by Kanal Kannan and ‘Stunt’ Silva, ‘Saamy 2’ is stated to revolve with ultimate action sequences and mass pinch dialogues. Releasing in Tamil and Telugu, this power packed action movie is much expected to delight Vikram’s fans worldwide.

2) ‘Raja Ranguski’ – Directed by Dharani Dharan who had previously directed movies like ‘Burma’ and ‘Jackson Durai’, ‘Raja Ranguski’ involves ‘Metro’ movie fame Shrish, Chandini Tamilarasan, Jayakumar Janakiraman, Anupama Kumar, ‘Kallori’ Vinoth and few more actors in important roles. Jointly produced under the banners of ‘Vasan Productions’ and ‘Burma Talkies’, ‘Raja Ranguski’ is stated to be a suspense thriller with Yuvan Shankar Raja’s musical composition. Camera for this cop thriller is handled by D. K. Yuvaa and editing is done by Shafiq Muhammed Ali. To brief about the title ‘Raja Ranguski’, it seems to be named as ‘Raja’ for the character name of Shrish and the funny name ‘Ranguski’ is named to the character of Chandini which is stated to have taken from the mosquito’s name in ‘Enthiran’. With the promotions and sneak peeks from this movie, ‘Raja Ranguski’ is expected more among the movie critics and thriller movie lovers.

3) ‘Eghantham’ – Directed and produced by Arsel Arumugam under the banner of ‘Annai Tamil Cinemas’, ‘Eghantham’ will be featuring Vivanth and Neeraja in lead roles. Along with them, Anupama Kumar, Thennavan, Gowtham, Sharmila, Shanthi Anand and Vijay TV stars Ramar and Sasikala in supporting roles. Lyrics for the songs penned by Yugabharathi, Eknath, & D.J. Kumar, Ganesh Raghavendra has composed music and background score for this movie. Cinematography is handled by S.KA.Boopathi whereas editing is done by S.P. Ahmad. Featured with a mix of Silambam stunts, romance and family sentiment in the trailer, the movie is stated to revolve with the traditional cults of Tamil culture.
