Rejuvenating all our hearts with the fresh romance of ‘Ram’ and ‘Janu’, ‘96’ has been directed by Prem Kumar and produced under the banner of S Nanthagopal’s ‘Madras Enterprises’ such that by involving Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha in important roles. Also with the soothing music of Govind Vasantha, the movie had been a great success in box office by running successfully for 100 days. Celebrating the 100 days, the team had a meet up with press reporters along in which all the crew members were honored with shields from the hands of Directors Cheran and Parthiepan accompanied with the social activist, Thirumurugan Gandhi.

As usual creating witty jokes with his speech, Parthipen has made Trisha and Vijay Sethupathi to hug on stage and had stated that, “There are many actors but when Vijay Sethupathi speaks to people there will be a grabbing attraction. He used to hug and kiss just like Shri. Amirdhanandhamyi does!

In some movies only we can choose Nayanthara if Trisha is not available. For this movie, if Trisha is not there, it is one and only Trisha. I don’t feel like she has acted in this movie. When I have met Trisha for the first time I have asked her if she can act in my film. She disagreed for my call. I have thought to ask like this to many actresses and tried to spoil their life. Trisha and Nayanthara are the heroines who escaped from that.

Everybody would have been curious if Trisha and Vijay Sethupathi will hug atleast once. But till the climax they haven’t hugged each other. But it is about to happen here.”

Continued with this, Parthipen called Trisha and Vijay Sethupathi on stage and asked them to embrace each other. Making both of them hugging with great delight, the whole event ended up with exciting claps.
