‘Boomerang’, ‘Sathru’, ‘Pottu’, ‘SPOT’, ‘Kapilavasthu’, ‘Badla’ and ‘Captain Marvel’ are releasing on screens this week.

Usually listing out the number of movie releases every week, this sunny week has a great lining up of much awaited movies which includes –

1) Boomerang –

After ‘Ivan Thanthiran’, Director R Kannan’s upcoming movie ‘Boomerang’ with Atharvaa and Megha Akash in lead roles has been all set to hit the screens on March 8th. Bankrolled by R. Kannan’s ‘Masala Pix’ and starring Indhuja Ravichandran, Upen Patel, Sathish, RJ Balaji and Suhasini Maniratnam in pivotal roles, the music of this movie is composed by ‘Arjun Reddy’ fame music director Radhan. Cinematography is handled by Prasanna Kumar and editing is done by Selva RK. Stated to talk about the necessities of river water, ‘Boomerang’ has been censored with ‘U’ censor certification.

2) ‘Sathru’ –

Directed by Naveen Nanjundan and produced by Raghukumar’s ‘RT Infinity Deal’, ‘Sathru’ involves actors like Kathir as a cop, Srushti Dange, Laguparan, Suja Varunee, Neelima, Ponvannan and Marimuthu along with Kathir for prominent roles. Stated to have the story about finding an unknown criminal within 24 hours, ‘Sathru’ seems to be in the genre of an interesting thriller and is pepping up to hit in the screens on March 8th. Cinematography and editing is done by Mahesh Muthuswami and Prasanna.G.K respectively whereas songs and background music has the hands of Amrish.

3) ‘Pottu’ –

Involving Bharath, Iniya, Namitha, Srushti Dange, Manisha Yadav, Rajendran, Sayaji Shinde, Thambi Ramaiah and Swaminathan in important characters, ‘Pottu’ is directed by Vadivudaiyan and bankrolled under the banner of ‘Shalom Studios’. Filmed in the genre of horror comedy, this film is releasing in more than 1000 screens on March 8th in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Added to this, the release of this movie in more than 1000 screens is stated to be the first time in Bharath’s film career. Cinematography handled by Enniyan J. Harris, editing for ‘Pottu’ is done by Elisa.

4) ‘SPOT’ –

Having English title, this Tamil movie, ‘SPOT’ involves the debut faces Kaushik and Agni Pawar in the lead roles. Along with them, Nassar, Sangili Murugan and Rishikanth are playing the important roles. Directed by director V R R, ‘SPOT’ is stated to be an ultimate romantic action film. Music composed by Vijay Shankar, cinematography for ‘SPOT’ has been handled by Mohanraj.

5) ‘Kapilavastu’ –

Directed by Nesam Murali and bankrolled under the banner of ‘Pawan Murugan Pictures’, ‘Kapilavastu’ involves new faces prominently. With the musical strings of Srikanth Deva, cinematography and editing is done by Viji and A S Ahmed respectively. Stated to have the narrations about the life of refugees who had been objected by the Government and also by Indians, ‘Kapilavastu’ is releasing in screens on March 8th.

6) ‘Badla’ –

Sharing screen space once again after ‘Pink’, ‘Badla’ directed by ‘Kahaani’ fame director Sujoy Ghosh, involves Taapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan in important roles. Along with them, this crime thriller involves Amrita Singh and Tony Luke in supportive roles. Jointly bankrolled under the banners of ‘Red Chillies Entertainment’ and ‘Azure Entertainment’, music for this movie is scored by Amaal Mallik, Anupam Roy and Clinton Cerejo. Cinematography handled by Avik Mukhopadhyay, editing for ‘Badla’ is done by Monisha R Baldawa. Much expected on screens, ‘Badla’ is releasing on March 8th as an awaited one among Bollywood movies.

7) ‘Captain Marvel’ –

Directed by the filmmakers Anna Boden and Ryan Bleck, the twenty-first 3D film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ‘Captain Marvel’ involves Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace and many other actors in the important roles. Bankrolled under the banner of ‘Marvel Studios’, the cinematography for this DC movie is handled by Ben Davis whereas the editing is done by Elliot Graham and Debbie Berman. Distributed by ‘Walt Disney Studios’ and ‘Motion Pictures’, the background music for ‘Captain Marvel’ is scored by Pinar Toprak.
