How many movies are hitting the silver screen this week?

‘Sindhubaadh’, ‘Thumbaa’, ‘Mosadi’, ‘Kabir Singh’, ‘The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir’ and ‘Toy Story 4’ are releasing on screens this week!

Usually listing out the number of movie releases every week, this week has 6 movies lined up to hit the silver screen. The movies are as follows –

1) ‘Sindhubaadh’ –

Once again after ‘Pannaiyarum Padminiyum’ and ‘Sethupathi’, director Arun Kumar has involved Vijay Sethupathi for the film ‘Sindhubaadh’ such that the cast also involves Anjali and Vijay Sethupathi’s son Surya in prominent characters. Having Vijay Sethupathi’s son Surya playing an important role, the film seems to have Vijay Sethupathi to be the husband having a problem in hearing such that when others talk only with little louder frequency than the normal decibel, he will be able to listen. Slated to have the release on June 21st i.e., on tomorrow, the music for ‘Sindhubaadh’ is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja whereas cinematography and editing is done by Vijay Kartik Kannan and Ruben respectively.

2) ‘Thumbaa’ –

Directed by the debutant Harish Ram and produced under the banners of ‘Regal Reels’ and ‘Roll Time Studios’, the film ‘Thumbaa’ stars ‘Kanaa’ fame actor Darshan and Producer and distributor Arun Pandian’s daughter, Keerthi Pandian in the lead roles. Having the backdrops and jungle with lots of adventure which seems to prominently have more of VFX, ‘Thumbaa’ is releasing on June 21st in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam with ‘U’ censor certificate by the distribution banner of Kotapadi J Rajesh’s ‘KJR Studios’. Music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, Vivek-Mervin and Santhosh Dhayanidhi, cinematography and editing in ‘Thumbaa’ is done by Naren Elan and R Kalaivanan respectively.

3) ‘Mosadi’ –

Directed by the debutant K Jegadeshan, ‘Mosadi’ stars Viju Iyyapasamie and Pallavi Dora in the lead roles. Based on the concepts of digital money and demonetization, ‘Mosadi’ has the cinematography handled by R Manikandan. Music is composed by H Shajahan.

4) ‘Kabir Singh’ –

Been sensational through ‘Arjun Reddy’ in Telugu, Director Sandeep Vanga has ventured into Bollywood through the remake of the same film which is titled as ‘Kabir Singh’. With Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani reprising the characters of ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Preethi’, ‘Kabir Singh’ also involves Arjan Bajwa, Suresh Oberoi, Adil Hussain, Nikita Dutta and many others in the prominent roles. Cinematography handled by Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran, editing is done by Aarif Sheikh. Produced under the banners of ‘Cine1 Studios’ and ‘T Series’, the songs were composed by Mithoon, Amaal Mallik, Vishal Mishra, Sachet-Parampara and Akhil Sachdeva whereas the background music of ‘Kabir Singh’ is scored by Harshavardhan Rameshwar respectively. Much awaited for hitting the screens for a very long time, ‘Kabir Singh’ is scheduled to release on June 21st.

5) The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir’ –

Being the prominent face of Indian Cinema, we knew that Dhanush has been acting in a French-English film ‘The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir’ directed by Ken Scott and produced under the banners of ‘Brio Films’, ‘M! Capital Ventures’, ‘Little Red Car Films’ and ‘TF1 Studios’. However having the release in French and English, this film has been dubbed in Tamil with the title of ‘Pakkiri’ such that the release of the Tamil version has also been scheduled on June 21st with the official theatrical rights acquired by Sashikanth’s ‘Y NOT X Marketing & Distribution’. Along with Dhanush, ‘Pakkiri’ stars Bérénice Bejo, Erin Moriarty, Barkhad Abdi, Gérard Jugnot, Ben Miller and many others with the background score composed by Nicolas Errèra & Amit Trivedi whereas Madhan Karky has penned lyrics for the Tamil version.

6) ‘Toy Story 4’ –

Directed by Josh Cooley and produced by banners of ‘Walt Disney Pictures’ and ‘Pixar Animation Studios’, ‘Toy Story 4’ is the animated comedy film which is the sequel of the series of ‘Toy Story’. Cinematography handled by Patrick Lin and Jean-Claude Kalache, editing for ‘Toy Story 4’ is done by Axel Geddes. Background score composed by Randy Newman, the animation film with 100 minutes duration is releasing worldwide on June 21st.
