Been following up many content-oriented films these days which is appreciated irrespective of languages, lastly, we had welcomed Yash’s ‘KGF: Chapter 1’ with great excitement which is originally from Kannada. Similarly since the first look of ‘Pailwaan’ had released with the six-packs look of Sudeep, it had been a great wait for the movie to get released. Let us see how this Kannada film had attracted the masses as this week’s movie release!
Sarkar (Suniel Shetty) is a respectable wrestler who wanted to find, train a talented champ and make him win National Wrestling Championship. However, his lifetime goal was to make someone a National Champion, he finds Krishna who fights for a cause but not to show his bravery. Getting trained as a wrestler Krishna gets a situation to be away from wrestling and live a normal family life away from his father/trainer Sarkar. Due to circumstances, Krishna gets into boxing which is way more different to wrestling. Will Krishna win the National championship in Boxing? What is the reason for him to play Boxing and win in the match? Will he come back to Wrestling and make Sarkar proud is the story of ‘Pailwaan’!
Talking about the content of the film, the script has its own pros and cons which is general in any of the sport- commercial film. Coming to the pros, the film is mainly strong with the core subject that is to uplift the needy by bringing out their talent in spite of their low economical status along by linking with the theme of Mahabharatha. Till the interval, the screenplay moves with action, love, comedy and powerful dialogues, the second half had been little dry with the comeback of Suniel Shetty and Sudeep and dragging climax boxing portions which are quite tiring to watch. Also, the dialogues seemed very similar to the dialogues in many other prominent old Tamil films.
Talking about the performance part, Sudeep had given his best not only with the modulation of Rajinikanth along with his Tamil having Kannada slang but also physically with the body language and performance. Than being in the modern outfit, Aakanksha Singh had shown her beauty by traveling throughout the film with traditional outfits. Special appreciation for the weight performance held by Suniel Shetty in the film! Apart from that, Kabir Duhan Singh who had been the rough and tough villain had performed well.
On the whole, ‘Pailwaan’ is a mix of modern fashion wrestling cultures with a slight touch of romance, action, and aim!
‘Pailwaan’ is all about the appreciative efforts of Sudeep who had been sensational through ‘Naan Ee’!
